The hotel features a newer, modern look and retains impressive views of the Detroit River and skyline.

Visitors to the new Best Western Plus Waterfront Hotel will be “shocked” by the lodging’s new looks, says the hotel’s director of operations.

The hotel hosted a gala and cocktail reception on Tuesday to celebrate the upgraded amenities and brand new look.

“The whole hotel is very modern now,” said Peter Tosh, director of operations for Vrancor Group.

“The areas are very functional, like the fitness centre and pool and it’s nice having a fresh new look under a globally recognized brand.”

The hotel is owned and operated by the Vrancor Group and Fahri Holdings Corporation.

Every one of the 305 guestrooms has a view of the Detroit River and Detroit skyline.

“People who haven’t been here in a while will be shocked,” Tosh said.

“It’s a refreshed product and you can walk to the many amenities and services downtown.”
